2014 Recap: My Most Popular Posts

I love this time of year... looking back to see how far I've come in the last year.  Luckily writing this blog really helps me keep track.  I don't really track my blog stats.  I don't care if 5 people are reading or 100.  I don't write this blog to earn money (which is why you'll never see a sponsored post that I don't 100% believe in). I write this blog mostly for me, but to have gained like-minded readers along the way is just a bonus.

As always, my most popular post continues to be My Shiny Brite Encyclopedia.  I wrote it back in 2011 in the baby days of this little blog.  It's how a lot of you found me.  I still get emails all year round asking for help in identifying ornaments.  I'm always happy to do so.  This post is also how several magazines found me and asked me for help in writing articles on Christmas ornaments.  One of these days I'm going to update it.  Mostly it just needs better pictures!

So, here's a breakdown of this year's most popular posts...

#1. Garage Sale Season Has Started With a Bang!

How can I forget this?  It was the haul of a lifetime.  I'm still holding out hope that somewhere out there an even better haul is waiting for me in someone's garage.  They're just waiting for the weather to warm back up again.

#2. My New "XXX BUS" Booth

I moved into my new space in August.  I just had so much stuff, it was time for a second booth!

#3. The Kirklin Flea Market + Auction Finds

I took you on a little tour of Kirklin, Indiana and some of their antique shops in this post.  I can't wait to go back this summer.  I heard a rumor that there's a few new shops opening up!

Well, there's last year in a small snapshot.
Here's to another year full of good trips and good junk!

  2. I agree with you, Melissa, writing the blog helps me keep track too, no matter how many readers. I'm glad to have 'met' you though, and look forward to seeing your wedding and other vintage adventures unfold in 2015. Happy New Year!

  3. Well, ex-cu-u-u-se me! I thought you write this blog for ME! And I just realized you are too young to get the "Excuse me" reference. Oh, well, we definitely have the vintage flu in common. The photo of you with the stack of luggage remains one of my favorites in Bloglandia.
