Rearranged

My 2 booths are now rearranged into 1 extra large space - and I love it!  Mom and I were at the mall from opening (10A) to closing (7P) completely moving everything around.  It took us about 3 hours to figure out the furniture arrangement and to tear up the nasty old carpet that a previous booth owner left.  It took the remaining 6 to try and get all the stuff back in to the booth on different shelves than they were on before.  We had several moments of panic.  We thought we'd never get it all back in.  We were certain we weren't going to be able to come back tomorrow because we were expected to get between 4-7 inches of snow.  We did end up getting 7.

As you can see above, it's nearly impossible to photograph now.  So I pieced together 4 pictures to try and give you an idea of what the front looks like.

If you're so inclined, here are some shots of the entire booth below.

 My "mantiques" shelf.

Here's the new bookcase I picked up last Sunday.

There's a few Made in Germany paper mache Easter eggs on this shelf.

Here's the 18 drawer cabinet I picked up at the Valentine's Day auction.

Added a few Easter Gurley candles from my stash.

The mini corner cabinet I also picked up picked up last Sunday.
I accidentally got my finger near the flash on this one...

This green washstand is over 100 years old.  It belonged to someone in my family who no longer wanted it.  So, it's here in my booth with a green and white pitcher and bowl that I happened to have in my stash.

These shelves didn't move.  They were best where they were at.

Another of my new furniture pieces along with Coke crates from last Sunday.

I hope to eventually make one of these a clearance shelf.

I wanted to use up every inch of space I could.
So, on the back side of the booth I added some crates.

And lined up a lot of flat items.
I plan to do something on the backside of these shelves, since they're pretty ugly.
I'm thinking I'll paint or wallpaper them and maybe add some chicken wire to hang things from.

That's it for this week!

  1. Good job, Melissa! Using every inch, going upward - that's the way to do it. I could even tell you had some glassware stacked on that top shelf of the new bookcase. You might even be able to do the same on the lower shelves with some of those rack stacker things for home cabinets. I like your new layout, and I can visualize it by the pictures. We're moving toward a clearance rack too - but haven't quite figured out the pricing scheme to distinguish it.

  2. I love this post. I used to have a booth when I lived in Texas, but it was no where near as nice as yours. Now I live in France and I have been collecting like crazy, but I am not able to sell any of it right now. It looks like you have fun with what you do, I would love to shop in your booth. Great job!

  6. You did a great job combining your booths in to one large one. It does look really nice, and your hard work really paid off. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on our master bedroom remodel. I just hope it doesn't take me 3 years to share the reveal!
