I'll get to Saturday in a bit, but first... Friday was supposed to be a work-at-home day for me, but I got restless around 11 and decided to call it a day. I hit 2 garage sales and a thrift store.
Pictured here: all my finds on the shelf I got in Nashville.
A chopper, canape/cookie cutters/ floral frog, mugs, steins, and old advertising.
2 canisters, McCoy planter for my collection, Pyrex store 'n' see, an opal 501, and old clothes pins.
The opal 501 will be heading to ebay this week. I've done well selling opal pieces in the past.
I also acquired a 45 of one of my favorite songs of all time.
Such a feel good, happy song.
This was my view from under my umbrella at the auction Saturday morning.
It was pouring and delayed the start of the auction by an hour.
It also ruined quite a bit at the auction. It was sad.
Here's what I ended up with.
Bar cart, matching scale, crock, and 4 ironstone plates.
There were a lot of box lots of pure junk.
This one was okay. The figurine is marked Occupied Japan.
I loved this carnival glass snack tray.
These 2 milk glass casseroles came with.
I took a chance on this lamp, since it had been rained on.
The bf made a few adjustments and it looked and worked great.
Last, I got this lot of orchard baskets.
They were full of dirt, birdseed, grass...
beetles, crickets, and brown recluse spiders.
I had to track down a cricket in my truck, too.
I think I need a pickup.
