Saturday was super snowy, so there wasn't much I could do. Late in the day I was able to make a trip to the Goodwill Outlet and hit up an estate sale an hour before it closed. I did end up going to an auction on Sunday. It was a big one and there were probably 400-500 attendees. After realizing I wasn't going to be able to buy anything while there were still 400-500 people bidding against each other, I ended up leaving and going to the local antique store that was a few blocks away. I was able to pick up a few goodies and by the time I got back to the auction, I was able to start buying stuff.
Here are the big pieces I picked up on Sunday. I definitely needed another bookcase for the booth. The mini corner cabinet and white chippy cupboard are great for stacking on shorter pieces like the bookshelf. I can't seem to keep these coke crates in stock, so I was happy to pick up 5 of them. The mirror is actually the front of a vintage medicine cabinet. I'm tempted to keep it.
I really loved these 2 prints. I got them at the Goodwill Outlet. They are 1920s or earlier. They are marked on the back that they hung in a doctors office in the 1920s. Pretty cool.
Got all of these goodies at the auction. Fire King isn't as popular as Pyrex, but for a REALLY great price, I will buy it. Usually if I price it fairly cheaply, it moves quickly. I can't seem to keep salt and pepper sets in my booth. The weirder the better.
Random odds and ends of 3 different places: the antique store, an estate sale (that was closing in less than an hour), and the Goodwill Outlet. The Pyrex is one of the uglier patterns, but it was 75% off, so how could I pass it up for a buck something each?
A large depression bowl and cake plate from the auction.
Can't get enough vintage bedding.
These will be heading to Instagram.
Found this vintage Dritz needlepoint at the Goodwill Outlet.
This will probably end up on ebay.
2 items for the booth that usually sell as soon as I bring them in. I can't seem to keep them in stock.
I've been obsessed with vintage greeting cards lately. Why can't they make them like this anymore? I found a whole stash as the Goodwill Outlet. I also picked up a box of them at the auction on Sunday. Most still have their original envelopes with stamps. I will be listing them for sale on Instagram next week.
All-in-all, the auction lasted a little over 8 hours. Thankfully I had dealer friends to visit with and I was able to get out for a couple hours at the beginning.
That's it for this week. I don't plan on attending any sales this weekend, but instead mom and I will finally get around to changing my booths into one big booth.
