I bought a tote full of these hand sewn quilt squares on the US 40 this past weekend. I thought, what better way to display them, than to make a banner?
So, get yourself some durable rope/ribbon. I actually used 1" wide fabric ribbon that I also picked up while yard sale-ing. I tied to to the rafters above my booth and then clothes-pinned the squares along the length of it. Adds quite a bit of character, if I do say so myself.

ReplyDeleteI was planning on attending the US 40 yard sale!!1 But we were shellacing Minnie. I'm so sorry I missed it...and maybe we'll pump into each other at next years...Great idea to create a banner!
ReplyDeleteDoggone it, what great idea for those quilt squares. I don't have but a few but thanks for idea to display them, like something different. What a fabulously lucky find and maybe someday make quilt out of them.
ReplyDeleteSaw several things in your booth would love to have, especially chalkware fruit to hang. Noticed one hanging up but maybe two more on little blue stand under lanterns? Are those fruit also? I had collected several in KY but by time got all our stuff out of storage here in western CO they had gotten ruined, was not happy. Do you sell online? How much would they be if all fruit groupings? You have lots of great items in your booth. Happy weekend My email address is: FurryidzPaperworx@gmail.com Would you please let me know?
I love this!! I need to find some blocks so I can do this!

Very cute Melissa! I need to get over to Carmel sometime. Love your pictures. I live near Zionsville and have one bookcase in the antique mall there. I'm still learning.
