Another Antique Shop Close Out Auction

Feel free to share this image!
I am so ready for spring... warmer weather, time outside, and YARD SALES.

In order to hold me over until yard sale season starts, I attended an antique store close out auction.  I got a lot of good stuff, so scroll down and take a look!

First of all, I don't know if you'd recognize it, but this cabinet is from THIS auction.

Can you believe all this Knowles Utility Ware I found?
Scroll down for more...

I love the cake stand, but it has a chip on it!

I needed more Fire King peach lustre like I needed another hole in my head, but it was so inexpensive.

This little aqua pitcher looks like it's McCoy, but is unmarked.

I told you there was more Knowles!

How cute are the little Howard Johnson demitasse cups/saucers?

Loving the little egg cups, lamb shaker, and sailboat wall pocket.

Top - lots of amber Indiana Glass.

YAY for new old stock pieces!

More new old stock!

Okay, what the heck is this thing???  It came in one of the box lots I bought.

Lots and lots of jewel tea.  The most I've ever bought at once!

Cute little cases and a tin toy xylophone.

Finally the last few pieces!

My prized find!

I wanted to share this picture of this Car-Snac carrier that my friend Rita from Panoply sent me along with a few other goodies.  It has found it's final home in my junkin van, The Beast.  Now I just need a good road trip!

That's all for now!

Have a great week,

  1. Oh my gosh! I've never been to a store close out auction. Where in the world? Do they hold it right in the store? No other dealers in the store? I'm so curious. When our dealers throw in the towel in the antique mall, they just liquidate with % off in the store, and/or move out. You got some really, really good stuff. You always do.
Love the car snac. It's so perfect for you. :)

  2. Wonderful finds. The Beast should be very proud of the plaid Car Snac!

  3. Oh, you done good, girl! My mom was born in 1915 in Fall River, MA. She would keep busfare from her $17/week Kresge's (5 and 10 cent store) pay and give my grandfather the rest. She would walk to work so she had spending money! 5 cents bought you a Chinese chow mein sandwich after work, 5 cents got you into the movies, and another 5 cents bought you a Knowles plate at the movies for her hope chest. I still have a few! I envy you all the dishes with pink roses, the peach lustre (got some from my grandmother!), and the reticulated edge bowl! You got something for everyone!

  4. Wow, what a haul! Love, love, love your quote! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm--pinned!

  5. Melissa, I don't know how you do it. You have another fantastic haul. I love the blue plaid Car Snac Carrier that Rita sent you! Thank you for sharing at Snickerdoodle.

  6. I know how you feel about the price of the orange Firestone dishes. I have a few myself but scored a super good price. The Carrier Rita sent is beautiful. Rita has one of the most generous hearts ever and have been following her for years. Love what she sent you.
