Finds from the US 40 National Road Yard Sale

It has taken me so long to get all these pictures because I bought SO MUCH stuff during the US 40 Yard Sale this year.  The above picture were my Day 1 finds.

A rusty crusty wheelbarrow for $5?  Who can turn that down?
Another cooler for my collection.  It currently resides on my front porch.

This was Day 2, when everything was still boxed.  It also includes 2 items not pictured below: an old red rocking motel chair and big heavy white door.

This was Day 2 unboxed.  It was a pretty spectacular day

An old greeting card rack.

Never used GREEN charcoal grill?  Yes, please.

So, a church was selling off all their old luncheon stuff.

Who needs 175 sherbets?  Apparently I do.

3 boxes of melmac translated to this...

Sold a few pieces to someone after purchasing the lot and made almost my entire investment back!

These last few pictures were technically from an estate sale the weekend before the US 40.

Basically never used Club pan set.

Lots of unused Tupperware.

You'll be (jadeite) green with envy in a second.  Everything here was a quarter each

Why do I have to love vintage coolers so much?
It is also residing on my front porch currently.

There were so many never used linens.

Most still had their original price tag pinned on.

And who doesn't love old floral sheets??

Alrighty, that's it for now!  Can you guys believe the 127 Yard Sale is only a little over a month away?  I've booked my lodging and I'm ready to hit the road already!

If you're interested in reading about my past US 40 or 127 trips, you can search my blog at the very top on the right hand side.  Just type in US 40 or 127.

Unless I find something amazing or feel like reminiscing about the 127, you probably won't see me again until August when I share my finds from the 127 sale.

In the name of good junk,
Melissa

  5. Wow Melissa, you really did score big time! Those mushroom canisters took me back. That's was what I had for my first set after getting married in 1972. :) I have a weakness for old coolers as well. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
